Clarification Regarding the January 17th Meeting Broadcast

Updated: Jan 25

During the January 17th meeting, a discussion took place regarding DGTV filming the proceedings for resident viewing. At that time, Board Member Debbie stated, "I approve, but you have to get permission from the audience."

To clarify, this was an expression of her personal support for transparency rather than an official Board decision. This was not specifically addressed. Other board members are around her and no one objected. It appeared that it was authorized by the board. Then, Under the Davis-Stirling Act, if a Board allows recording, individual audience consent is not legally required.

Following a conflict resolution meeting held today, the following points have been established:

  • Communication Error: The misunderstanding stemmed from a lack of clear communication during the meeting rather than any wrongdoing by DGTV.

  • HOA Compromise: DGTV and the HOA have reached a compromise for all future broadcasts to ensure procedural clarity.

  • Link Removal: As part of this agreement, the public link to the January 17th meeting has been removed.

Requesting Access: The meeting is no longer available via public link. However, if you still wish to review the recording, please submit a formal request via email.
